One Future.

WHY THIS CAMPAIGN

Neither can we.

Our animals can't wait.

Palm Valley Animal Society serves McAllen, Edinburg, Palmhurst, and unincorporated Hidalgo County — and the demand on our facilities has never been greater. The One Shelter. One Future. campaign will fund critical improvements to our Andrews facility, expanding our capacity to care for more animals, serve more families, and build a shelter that reflects the community we're proud to call home.

"This expansion will reduce stress on animals, strengthen our lifesaving capacity, and give our community a single, welcoming place to adopt, volunteer, and engage."

SUZETTE CRUZ, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PVAS

THE NEED

Current infrastructure at Andrews is being improved to better support safe, efficient care for the animals who depend on us every day.

🏗️

South Texas heat demands climate-controlled animal housing that meets modern shelter standards.

🌡️

Intake demand continues to grow. Our current footprint wasn't built for the volume we manage today.

📈

A modern facility strengthens our position with municipal partners and supports long-term service contracts.

🤝

WHY THIS CAMPAIGN

Where every dollar goes

The One Shelter. One Future. campaign is targeted and accountable. Every gift directly funds one of these three priority areas.

Animal Housing &
Environment

Updated kennels, improved ventilation, and climate-controlled spaces that reduce animal stress and improve adoption and rescue outcomes.

01

Intake & Operational Infrastructure

A new intake and warehouse facility will strengthen daily operations, improve how animals are received and processed, and create a more efficient, organized system to support care across the shelter.

02

Community & Visitor Experience

Welcoming, accessible spaces for adopters, volunteers, and families — designed to make the shelter feel like part of the community it serves.
