In May 2018, this board voted to pursue no-kill status — a decision that reshaped animal welfare in the Rio Grande Valley and set the standard PVAS is still held to today.
Our directors are unpaid volunteers. They don't run the shelter day to day. They make sure it stays solvent, stays honest, and stays pointed at that promise.
