LOST A PET?

Losing a pet is a traumatic experience! The best way to find your pet, however, is to act quickly. If your pet was lost in or near our service area…

  • Visit our Trenton Center (2501 W. Trenton Rd.) to look for your pet in person. More than 15,000 animals pass through our doors each year, so it’s important to visit regularly if your pet is missing. We’re open 2 - 7 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 12 -7 p.m. Friday - Sunday.

  • Fill out the lost pet form found below!

  • If you live in City of Edinburg, contact their holding facility to see if they have your pet there:

    • Address: 1301 N Doolittle Rd, Edinburg, TX 78542

    • Phone: 956-316-2185

Additional steps.

Check your neighborhood. Eighty percent of lost pets are found within a mile of home, so check your local area and speak with neighbors.

Create a Lost Pet flyer. Use this template to create a flyer and post it at local coffee shops, dog parks, pet stores, veterinary offices and other businesses.

Use online resources.

  • Post about your lost pet on social media, and search neighborhood apps and websites like Nextdoor, and Pawboost  in addition to Petco Love Lost as directed above.

  • Post the lost animal on our PVAS PASS Program page. PVAS PASS is a program to help keep pets of RGV owned by the public out of the shelter system by reconnecting  owners and pets along with providing other resources.
