Volunteers are essential to our programs and operations here at Palm Valley Animal Society. We rely on the care, dedication, and support our volunteer team provides. Palm Valley Animal Society welcomes anyone willing to donate their time to help save homeless animals in the Rio Grande Valley. For the safety of the animals, volunteers, guests, and staff, completion of the Volunteer Program Registration process and Service Agreement is required prior to volunteering.

A volunteer application and orientation is required in order to volunteer with PVAS. Once your application and orientation are complete, our volunteer coordinator will contact you via email to finish setting you up as a PVAS Volunteer. Please remember to check your email periodically after signing up. (It may take our team 1-3 business days to send you your follow up information)
Orientation and Onboarding Process
A Volunteer application and orientation is required in order to Volunteer with Palm Valley Animal Society! Once completing the application and orientation, you will be contacted by our volunteer department within 1-3 days of submission. You will receive instructions to create your volunteer profile with us through email. Hang tight!

Treat all animals, staff, and fellow volunteers with kindness.
Be able to complete the mandatory Cat and/or Dog Care Training.
Be 16 years of age or older. (Are you under 16? You must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian while volunteering on site as well as your parent/legal guardian needing to register as a volunteer)
Volunteers 15 years and younger:
- Parent must register to volunteer as well as sign and submit a signed Volunteer Service Agreement to
email@example.com. Parent must accompany child to volunteer on-site at all times.
