Pets of the Week (August 9-15)

Meet Queen Geneva! She is a laid-back girl looking for a peaceful home to live happily ever after. Honestly, she would be the perfect couch potato if you are looking for someone you can relax with after a long day's work. She would benefit from someone who has experience with dogs and is not for beginners in the canine world. Geneva is not a fan of cats or children, teens would be fine. If you are looking for that calm, potty trained, sweetheart then please stop by our Andrews Center to meet her today!

Lilo is the sweetest pup around! She loves attention and will throw herself on the ground for some belly rubs. Lilo loves to play outside with her kennel mates and acts like a huge goofball when she runs around the yard. She also gets along well with other dogs and is waiting for her forever home here at our Andrews Center.

Alexis is a one-year-old domestic shorthair that has been with us since April this year. One of the things she loves doing is getting into one of the hammocks in the community cat room. Alexis does awesome with the other cats in the room and does not mind being carried around while getting affection. Please visit her at our Andrews Center today!

Walter has not been with us long but has stolen many hearts with his appearance alone. He is just a gorgeous boy needing some help finding a home. If you are looking for someone very calm, gentle, then Walter would be the one for you! He is only about three months old and loves to cuddle with his friends. If you think you can help this boy by giving him a loving home please stop by our Andrews Center today for a meet and greet!

Not ready to adopt? Consider opening your home as a foster caregiver instead! As a foster caregiver, you’ll be providing joy and enrichment for an animal in need, while freeing up space in our facilities for the many other animals that reach our shelter on a daily basis. Take an old, senior hound out for a relaxing weekend, or bring an energetic yearling home for a playful afternoon visit with your family; as a registered foster, you decide how long you’d like to spend with our animals! Foster kits and online resources are provided for those wanting to nurture and bottle feed our kittens as well as Mom and pup litters that just need a quiet place to de-stress. Register online at pvastx.org/foster and start saving lives today!
